COLMAR, France, July 14 (Reuters) - Lance Armstrong's U.S. Postal team suffered a major Tour de France setback
on Saturday when Christian Vandevelde was forced to retire from the race with a broken arm.

Vandevelde fell for the second time in the current Tour midway through the 162.5-kilometre seventh stage from
Strasbourg to Colmar.

Just wanted to say thanks for the autographed USPS card you signed for me at the request of your uncle in Lemont. It was a Christmas present for me from my girlfriend's father and was a VERY COOL gift indeed.

I'm hoping someone here can fill in about Christian's strengths as a rider. Can we expect him to be competitive and go for wins in the major Classics? Can we expect an expanded role in the TDF?
