You probably read about it by now...the Redwood City RR was "shortened" for the elite-Men's race. (See Cyclingnews.com for details and photos).

The course started from the flatlands near the SF Bay, and wound its way up narrow and winding roads , through multi-million dollar homes (I wondered who the people saving tax dollars from their dividends were), providing a beautiful and challenging circuit. But, as the article points out, the course did not have adequate personnel to...

I'm sure all of you saw the SF Gran Prix today. It was a complete surprise to many that Postal was shut out of a place on the podium. I was on the Taylor St. hill with about 5 laps to go and saw Hincapie make a huge effort and made his break. We knew what strength Hincapie has, and that he was sheltered up to that point. It seemed a cinch he would stay away. And he had Armstrong, Ekimov, and Landers ready to disrupt any chases...the worst would be a rider from another team pulling up...

Again, it's a strong man's course and a Classic specialist like Hincapie should come out on top. Again, look for Armstrong to work for Hincapie.

Last year, USPS let a Saturn-filled break go off the front. While Klasna hasn't shown the form he had last...
