Well...Once has always been a team for hot summer months..including of course, the Tour de France. We could add Banesto, Kelme, and Euskatel to that list as well. I would not count out Beloki to show his colors in the Tour, as we well know that he is capable. Bjarne Riis has surely flown EPO airlines in the past no doubt. Perhaps he has passed on some of those frequent flyer miles to Tyler? I sure can see that Tyler is a 'different' rider under Dr. Riis. Having said that, I think 85% of the modern peloton probably uses something. It's just fact..and we must choose to accept it to some degree or simply choose to not follow the sport. Finally, you are sooo correct about team! No doubt, USPS is the best team in the peloton..and this will go a long way in helping Lance win the Tour again. CSC has improved year over year under Bjarne. Remember last year in the crucial TTT when Bjarne advised team to wait for a stricken rider to catch back up even as CSC was posting some of the premiere times all around the course? Bjarne made a bad call, and he and Jalabart had a falling out about it. It did show that CSC was a very strong team physically. I have been really impressed with the squad of late with Sanstod, Jakob Piil, Carlo Sastre, and Tyler among others. This team is certainly better than some others in recent memory that supported a Tour winner. Remember Lemond's ADR team in '89? Watch out for my man Mercado. I think we are going to know in a few days that he is absolutely ready for his first Tour based on his results in the coming days along the very tough Dauphine course. He showed up at the Vuelta last year as one of the favorites...and unfortunately he came with terrible condition and was later was pulled from the race by his director to protect his morale for the rest of his promising career. He is going to be a great champion I believe.
