great to hear from Flyin' as always. Good points regarding Lemond. Today at Dauphine.......Lance too strong and totally on course for Tour number 5. Mancebo as expected today.......strong and fit! Mayo going down fighting isn't he? The inevitable crack happened to Millar today as expected. If he were a boxer..he would be a great puncher and compile a great record..but in the big fights, his glass chin would be his ruin. Mercado had a very respectable ride at 11th..just 1minute 33sec down on the stage winner and well in front of Leipheimer. I expect more attrition from within the current top 10...so perhaps Mercado can salvage a top 5 overall with a few more strong climbing stages like today where he gained 15 positions on GC from 29th to 14th. I think he is looking great for his Tour debut next month at age 24. Anyway, We've still got a few great stages left..then it's on to the Tour de France where we will get to see some other familiar contenders not present at the Dauphine. Anyone ready to post a top ten prediction for the Tour de France?
